Committees
The Department of Information Technology's staff play a critical role in serving on a variety of technology related committees on campus, in the CSU, and various external organizations alike. Our primary goal is to supply these committees with qualified, expert advice and input on a wide range of topics, as they relate to campus technology needs and concerns.
The California State University
Twenty-three universities comprise the California State University (CSU). The CSU is one of the largest educational systems in the United States--and possibly the world. There are numerous alliances and consortiums within the CSU in which The California State University, Maritime Academy participates including ITAC and CABO. Many of the initiatives undertaken by these alliances are recognized by universities and major vendors throughout the country.
Cal Maritime's IT Department is a participating member of a number of CSU IT-related systemwide collaborative committees including:
Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) is comprised of the twenty-three CIOs in the CSU system and key individuals from the Chancellor's Office.
Network & Technology Alliance (NTA) provides technical expertise and input in support of TIS staff activities and the activities of the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC), which is comprised of campus Chief Information Officers.
