Faculty Ambassadors for Canvas (FAC) (2023-2024)

Pilot Program fac badge

Registration Dates: Open until September 7

Be at the forefront of the Canvas implementation and help guide Cal Maritime in our transition from BrightSpace (BS)!

The purpose of the pilot is to bring together a community of instructors who plan to teach in Canvas in the Fall and who will partner with AT to help identify technical issues and improvements in the new platform.

With support and resources from AT, Fall/Spring pilot participants are encouraged to work in the Fall of 2023 to develop their Fall Canvas courses according to established quality assurance and accessibility standards.

Faculty user feedback and recommendations are critical for developing a learning management system that addresses the unique needs of the Cal Maritime campus.

Thank you for your support!

All instructors who plan to teach in the Fall semester are eligible to participate.

Our goal is to guide participants in becoming familiar with the Canvas self-service resources and provide support in designing courses aligned with established quality assurance standards.
