Financial Services
Financial Services is a customer-focused unit focused on providing financial and accounting services to students, faculty, and staff at California State University Maritime Academy. The department includes General Accounting, which collects and organizes university-wide transactional data to support managerial decision-making and fulfill financial reporting requirements for the CSU Chancellor’s Office and the State Controller’s Office.
Student Financial Services—comprising the University Cashier and Accounts Receivable staff—maintains accurate and timely student accounting records, processes student transactions, applies financial aid disbursements, and posts payments. Each team within Financial Services is dedicated to delivering accurate information and outstanding customer service to the university community.
We are committed to excellent service, staff development, continuous quality improvement, and system enhancements that support current and future students, faculty, and staff. With a strong emphasis on integrity in financial reporting, the department ensures that financial data is organized and reported effectively to support both operational needs and compliance requirements.
