To apply for a Cal Grant, students need to complete the FAFSA and submit a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form to the California Student Aid Commission no later than March 2nd. High school students should check in with their high school to see if GPAs will be submitted automatically.

Continuing Cal Grant recipients do not have to submit a new GPA Verification Form every year, however you must meet the yearly income/asset ceiling qualifications and have demonstrated financial need.

You can monitor and manage your Cal Grant application, access resources and information from the state of California by creating a Web Grants 4 Students account.
