Safety Committee 

The overarching goal of this group is to communicate information, identify opportunities to reduce and eliminate hazards, and improve access. Communication is the major mission to capture and share safety,  and risk-related information to engage our campus community to make our environment safer and more informed. This committee fulfills requirements outlined in the following regulations and Executive Orders.

Annual Campus Night Safety Tour: November 14, 2023

Attendees: Housing - Tim Westmoreland, Title IX - Dr. Carol Branch, Professor - Steven Runyon, Risk - Kristen Bautista, Parking - Michael Ross, EH&S - Craig Dawson, Facilities - Uber McCrary

Summary of Observations: Inclusion Center does not have lighting at main entrance, Bollards at Dining were not working (Replaced in April 2024), Blue light emergency phones tested (follow up repairs made in January 2024 as needed), McCallister Entrance lights (wall scons out and Work order placed).

Safety Security and Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes:

June 21, 2022 - As normal campus operations were resuming after the Pandemic, an effort was made to streamline multiple overlapping mandates to bring key stakeholders together to gather and disseminate information in Environmental Health & Safety, Risk, Police Services, and ADA. The committee met in June of 2022 and the records are attached. It was later determined that the smaller groups would continue and this larger cross division group was disbanned

2020-2022 COVID Health & Safety Task Force Weekly Meetings and Newsletters - Weekly meeting were held via Zoom and information recorded and disseminated to the campus weekly. This group was officially disbanned in early 2023.

 

Training Ship Golden Bear Safety Program

This is the TSGB intranet and is accessible from the ship, from the CSU Maritime network, and if the ship is in the CSUM port, through Global Protect VPN from off campus.  When the ship is at sea the intranet is only accessible from aboard the ship.
