The Research and Innovation Office advances funded research, scholarship, and creative endeavors for faculty and staff.  We serve as a resource to locate external funding opportunities and build the capacities of faculty and staff to pursue innovative and entrepreneurial external funding through technical assistance, training, and strategic proposal review.  RIO manages Cal Maritime's proposal authorization process and maintains records of Cal Maritime's submissions and awards.
