Conflict of Interest

Cal Maritime's Conflict of Interest (COI) policy is designed to foster a positive environment to allow for university activities and outside professional activities to be conducted in full compliance with federal, state, and Chancellor's Office policies. Cal Maritime and its employees are committed to conducting all sponsored programs activities in full compliance with all ethical and conflict of interest requirements applicable to Cal Maritime and its employees.

The COI policy establishes guidelines to allow faculty and staff to identify and disclose potential conflicts. This policy allows faculty and staff to identify potential conflicts and manage those conflicts so that the integrity and interests of Cal Maritime balance with those of each Cal Maritime faculty and staff member.
