Commercial Cruise (Sea-Going Internship) Opportunities for Marine Engineering Technology Majors
All students in the Marine Engineering Technology degree program are required to sail on a sixty-day commercial cruise. Commercial Cruise is completed during the sophomore summer after successfully passing the first training cruise aboard the Academy's Training Ship Golden Bear during the freshman summer. Cruise cadets sail aboard an actual working Merchant Marine vessel to gain hands-on training while experiencing life at sea in their chosen career. There are many exciting commercial cruise opportunities available around the world on all types of vessel platforms. Co-Op (Land-Based Internship) Opportunities for Facilities Engineering Technology Majors
All students in the Facilities Engineering Technology degree program are required to complete two sixty-day Co-Ops during their academic career.
