Classes, campus activities, and regular business will resume Tuesday October 17.
The ship and residence halls are open for students. Residential students, please swipe
in at the following locations:
Training Ship Golden Bear – quarterdeck
McAllister Residence Hall – front desk
Lower and Upper Residence Halls – Upper Residence Hall office
Essential services are currently active including Shipboard Watchstanding, Dining
Services, Police, Student Health Services, Facilities, and IT.

Classes, campus activities, and regular business will resume Tuesday October 17.
Air quality has improved and is projected to continue improving throughout the weekend.
The ship and residence halls are open for students who left campus to begin moving
back in. Please check in with your RHO as you return to campus.
Essential services remain active including Shipboard Watchstanding, Dining Services,
Police, Facilities, and IT.

In light of ongoing negative air quality forecasts, Cal Maritime will remain closed
through Monday, October 16. No decision has been made about Tuesday, October 17.
Essential services will remain active including Shipboard Watchstanding, Dining Services,
Police, Facilities, and IT.
Masks are available on the ship's quarterdeck and in the Upper Residence Hall Housing
Office.

The Dining Center - which has air conditioning - will be open for regular operating
hours.

Cal Maritime remains closed through Sunday, October 15 due to air quality issues.
No decision has been made about next week's classes. We are monitoring air quality
forecasts, and a decision about campus reopening will be made as soon as it is possible
to do so in an informed manner.
Masks are available on the ship's quarterdeck, in the Student Health Center, and in
the Upper Residence Hall Housing Office.
The Dining Center - which has air conditioning - will open for normal hours and remain
open until 10 p.m. Friday if needed.

Due to air quality as a result of fires in the region, all classes and activities
with the exception of shipboard watchstanding are cancelled for Thursday, October
12 through Sunday, October 15.
Essential services will remain active including Cadet Shipboard Watchstanding, Dining
Services, Police, Facilities, IT, and the Student Health Center.
Nonessential offices will be closed for the remainder of the week. If you are uncertain
if your presence is necessary, please check with your supervisor. Staff in nonessetial
departments are encouraged to stay at home.
For those who remain on campus, we recommend leaving all doors and windows closed.
The Dining Center – which has air conditioning – will remain open as a relief center
until midnight tonight (Wednesday, October 11). The Dining Center will open for normal
hours on Thursday and Friday and remain open until 10 p.m. if needed.
We are continuing to monitor situation, and we will send further updates as information
becomes available.

Due to fires in the area and the resultant air quality, all remaining classes for
Wednesday, October 11 are cancelled.
Essential services remain open including Dining Services, Police, Facilities, and
the Student Health Center. Nonessential offices will be closed for the remainder of
the day. If you are uncertain if your presence is necessary, please check with your
supervisor.
We recommend leaving all doors and windows closed.
