TS Golden Bear has crossed under the Golden Gate Bridge and successfully departed from the San Francisco Bay. Many cadets, faculty, crew, and staff spent some time outside to take in the amazing views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge this morning as we waved goodbye to the West Coast and began our journey east. For our 3C cadets and other newcomers, there is nothing quite like the thrill of experiencing a departure aboard TSGB for the first time.
Anticipation builds as we approach the Golden Gate....
Thank you to those who waved goodbye to us from the bridge!
Check back often and follow the voyage with our blog series that gives the latest news from Summer Sea Term! TSGB will travel to Honolulu, HI, Busan, South Korea, Yokohama, Japan, and Los Angeles, CA prior to returning to Vallejo on August 5th.
Stay tuned for updates to the Follow the Voyage blog.
