Ahoy!

Happy Wednesday from TSGB, somewhere in the middle of the Tropic of Cancer (you can see our current location via Marine Traffic or Vessel Finder). Plenty of new developments today - Cadets are still on their daywork/watch/class rotations, and there is still a ton of projects taking place aboard the vessel. Today we conducted our weekly fire and abandon ship drills, we are setting the clocks back another hour, we have red bull slushies for sale in Pirate's Cove, and the best part of all: we will be holding a BBQ and karaoke tonight.

Cadets find the hidden gnome

Cadets have been participating in a fun challenge started by our Cadet 2nd Mate, Frank Sherman: find the gnome during security rounds. Every night, the gnome is hidden on the ship, and the security team that finds it can return it to the Captain's office for a prize, which is popcorn from Pirate's Cove. Today's winners are Chloe Kealoha, Ruby Sandoval, and Connor Urbancic.

Computer lab project

Computer lab project

With the help of our IT guru Cody Lewis, a team of cadets replaced all of the computers in our computer lab. This was a long overdue project and will help out with internet accessibility for academic and personal use.

Fair winds and following seas!
