Ahoy!

It's Monday on TSGB - or is it Sunday?? We crossed the International Date Line at some point yesterday and are still on our quest of changing the clocks manually until we reach South Korea.

Not much has changed since yesterday... Cadets are still working on completing various projects as new projects arise. All aboard are keeping busy despite each day feeling like Groundhog Day!

Bridge ops

Bridge rotations have been chill lately - although we can sometimes tell when a new 3/C cadet is on the helm. It takes a little time to get used to steering, but once they get acclimated, it's smooth sailing once again.

Professor Satterwhite instructs engineering cadets on how to use the emergency steering gear control system. This is an impotant skill to learn, in case there is an emergency situation where the bridge loses power.

Projects continue in other parts of the ship....

Repair work

Cadet Fox Bullis and Commercial Cruise Cadet Andrew Vanderwerf replace a section of pipe.

Alice working

Cadet Alice Sandel replaces the oil separator in the ship service air compressor. From Alice: “Hi Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa! I’m learning a lot and keeping hydrated. Thinking of you all. Love, Alice.”

Fair winds and following seas!
