Cruise 2023, Day 27 - we are 13 days into our voyage to Apia, Samoa and nearly a month into our 65 day cruise. We have been at sea for a little over three weeks (if you count our Cabo interlude) and the ship is operating like a well oiled machine. We had a great weekend with great weather. As the fog and gray clouds are pretty much a thing of the past, the cadets who are taking their Celestial Navigation course are finally able to get out and look at some stars.

Celestial Navigation

Celestial Navigation can be tricky, as it is dependent on the weather. Cadets rely on clear skies to get the most accurate results. The best time to look at the stars is in the evening around sunset, along with early morning.

A perfect day for celestial!

On another note, tonight at midnight we will skip ahead a day - so instead of tomorrow being Thursday June 1st, it will be Friday June 2nd and we will officially be in the same time zone as Samoa!
