Today is arrival day! Everyone is excited to be going into Honolulu. Out on deck many of the cadets were seen in their Salt and Peppers. We loaded the fast rescue boat (FRC) with cadets, who will provide the line handling duties for mooring the ship. Around 0930 the pilots boarded the Bear and twenty minutes later we received permission to enter the harbor entrance. The FRC was lowered as we made our final approach into Honolulu. With a lot of cadets and crew on deck, they watched as we slowly made our way into the harbor. At around 1100 the gangway was lowered, and liberty was ready to commence!
Everyone on the Bear is looking forward to some exciting adventures, we all will make memories that will last a lifetime.
