Welcome to the School of Maritime Transportation, Logistics and Management
The mission of the School of Maritime Transportation, Logistics and Management (MTLM) is to instill cadets with the necessary knowledge, practical skills, judgment and character needed to broaden their horizons and become ethical leaders in the global maritime marketplace. Cadets will learn through a balance of theoretical knowledge and experiential learning and benefit from unique educational platforms and experienced faculty who are recognized experts in their fields.

The Marine Transportation department is in full compliance with the requirements of the International Convention of the Standards for Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1995 (STCW) as administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
In 2021, the Nautical Institute issued accreditation for the Dynamic Positioning Induction course offered within the Marine Transportation program.
The Department of International Business and Logistics at California State University Maritime Academy has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) located at 11374 Strang Line Road in Lenexa, Kansas, USA.
