After a restful night, we kicked off our day learning about the history of the largest mosque in the city, Koutoubia Minaret and then continued walking through the medina until we reached Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the popular and famous marketplace inside the Marrakech medina.

Then, we rounded out our city tour with visits to the Bahia Palace and the Museum of Water Civilization.  At the Bahia Palace, we marveled at the beautiful architecture of the various spaces and rooms of the former riad.  At the Museum of Water Civilization, we learned about the importance and symbolization of water to the Morocco and the critical roles water has played in Moroccan infrastructures and lifestyles for centuries.
