Happy Friday! We started our last full day in Rabat with a trip to another UNESCO site, The Archeological Site of Chellah. As the site is not currently operating to the public, it felt like Cal Maritime had exclusive access along with our own private tour! As we marveled at the mix of Roman and Islamic ruins, we learned about the histories of the Roman Era in Rabat and the educational systems (known as the medersas) dating back to the 14th century.

Once our tour concluded at The Chellah, we stopped by the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art to spend some time checking out art exhibits before lunch.

After lunch, we stopped by a local artisan shop where we were able to see a variety of pottery making and mosaic tiles created firsthand. Inspiring us to create ceramic pieces of our own!
