Join the CONFIDE Faculty Learning Program: Champion Ethical Data Science Education!

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of data scientists with a strong ethical foundation? The CONFIDE: Community of Networking Faculty Investigating Data Ethics project invites innovative and committed faculty to participate in an exciting Faculty Learning Program (FLP) focused on integrating ethics into data science education.

 

What is the CONFIDE FLP?

The CONFIDE FLP is a dynamic 6-week online course designed to empower faculty from 2- and 4-year institutions to:

  • Enhance their teaching with culturally responsive and equity-focused pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary community of educators, industry experts, and administrators.
  • Develop and implement impactful curriculum changes that promote responsible and ethical use of data.

Program Highlights:

  • Weekly Synchronous Sessions: Collaborate in real-time with fellow participants and expert facilitators from academia and industry.
  • Interactive Learning: Engage in hands-on activities, case studies, and discussions to deepen your understanding of ethical challenges in data science.
  • Optional In-Person Meetups: Build connections and extend your learning through networking events and workshops at select locations.
  • Resource-Rich Environment: Receive access to tools, materials, and mentorship to support the implementation of ethics-focused curriculum changes.
