David Grover enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1973 and graduated from Machinery Repairman ‘A’ school. Serving aboard fleet repair ship USS Hector in the upper machine shop and later as a 2nd class petty officer in the auxiliary machine shop.

After serving in the Navy, Mr. Grover worked at a die manufacturing shop in Redwood City while obtaining an AS degree in machine tool technology from College of San Mateo.

Mr. Grover began a compressor business doing contract machining and assembly of the Decora air compressor. For the past 43 years has been involved in sales, system design, service, repair and overhaul of industrial compressors and related equipment.

Became a member of the American Welding Society in 1979.

Factory trained at Bauer Compressor for high pressure breathing air compressors and rotary screw air compressors in 1983.

Factory trained at SiHi for liquid ring vacuum and compressor pumps in 1984. 

David Grover joined Cal Maritime in 2013 teaching in the weld lab and machine shop.
