Cal Maritime was recently announced as one of the top 31 colleges with "the best bang for your buck,” according to Business Insider. Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce built a database ranking 4,500 colleges on their return on investment using the average net price and earnings from the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and ranked the top 31 colleges according to how much that investment will be worth in 40 years in today's dollars.
As one of five maritime academies and the only university in the California State University system included in this list, Cal Maritime placed #16 of top colleges with a $1,818,000 return on investment in 40 years.
