Cal Maritime is a visually compelling place, in a beautiful waterfront setting, and nearly always humming with activity. Last year was different—of course—due to Covid-19 many classes were virtual and some of our community members were not on campus. But we’re all back now, practicing Covid-safe protocols, so it seemed like a good time to launch our new feature, Week in Photos. Each week we’ll be posting a visual assortment of academics, activitivies, and scenics so everyone can get an inside view of life here on Morrow Cove.
Fortunately, we have lots of images to choose from this first week. Orientation 2021 brought us a host of campus activities and events to welcome new cadets, as well as last year’s virtual learners who are on campus for the first time. It was a delight to see families here too!
Lots of people were snapping photos all week, so thanks to cadet leaders Hannah Parra, Shannon Stel, Thanaphorn Supakit, Kyle Yamamoto, and William Yates, and cadet Dion Anderson for being on the scene and capturing the action. More thanks goes to Allen Birnbach of the Office of Public Affairs and Communications for the steady supply of images.
Feel free to download and/or share your favorites.
