(VALLEJO, Calif. – September 12, 2014) – Cal Maritime's Day on the Bay event features food, live music, and a front row seat for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels airshow aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear.

Day on the Bay has long been the closing event of California Maritime Academy's Homecoming activities, coinciding with Fleet Week on the San Francisco Bay. The ship anchors off of Angel Island so attendees can enjoy the airshow.

The price of a ticket includes continental breakfast, lunch, and an assortment of snacks. Wine and beer are available for purchase for those over 21. Tickets are $150 per adult and $75 per child 5-12. Children under five are not permitted.

Cal Maritime students who are majoring in Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering Technology work on the ship during the Day on the Bay, driving, navigating, monitoring the engines and more.
