TRAINING SHIP GOLDEN BEAR’S RETURN TO CAMPUS DELAYED
(VALLEJO, CA – August 5, 2013) – Delays encountered during scheduled maintenance on the Training Ship Golden Bear will result in its late return to the Vallejo campus. Because the ship will not return until after classes begin, staff members at Cal Maritime are working to resolve housing issues for students scheduled to live on the ship during the fall semester and to relocate classes which would normally meet on the ship.
Orientation and the beginning of fall semester classes will continue as planned.
Cal Maritime staff members are identifying alternate housing opportunities for the eleven percent of students who are scheduled to live on the ship during the fall semester.
