ABOUT


Since joining California State University Maritime Academy in August 2010, Dr. Bachkar has taught graduate and undergraduate students in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He earned a M.S in Management Information Systems from Shippensburg University and a Ph.D. in Transportation and Logistics from North Dakota State University, Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI).

Dr. Bachkar specializes in Transportation Logistics and Supply Chain Management, with a focus on Container Supply Chain Logistics, Ethanol Supply Chain, Supply Chain Security, and Supply Chain Risk Management, particularly in Container Supply Chain Security. Dr. Bachkar has published extensively in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Transportation Research Forum, Journal of Cleaner Production, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Management and Sustainability, International Journal of Revenue Management, Energy and Natural Resources, Journal of Management and Engineering Integration, International Journal of Logistics Systems and Management, Journal of Research in Transportation Business Management, and the Journal of Business and Accounting.
