Notification of Upcoming PeopleSoft Changes, Upgrade and System Downtime

This communication is to inform you of upcoming changes to the PeopleSoft application. Currently, Campus Solutions and Human Resources activities are processed through the same system.  On October 26th, 2017 our system will undergo a significant upgrade. PeopleSoft will go offline beginning at 6:00PM on Thursday, October 26th while the upgrade is applied and will come back online on Monday, October 30th.  Upon completion of the upgrade, there will be two separate PeopleSoft environments, PeopleSoft - Student Systems and PeopleSoft - Human Resources with two separate access links:

While the system is down you will not be able to access PeopleSoft to view data, make changes or submit entries including time and attendance entries.  Please make appropriate business adjustments to accommodate the system being offline.  An email to students will follow this message.  Additionally, messages will be posted to the portal to communicate this outage to everyone. Information Technology and all our partners on the campus that have worked hard to ensure a smooth upgrade thank you for the support and patience while we perform this necessary system split and upgrade.

  Peoplesoft – Student System (Campus Solutions)

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions manages student academic operations, including scheduling and registering for classes, calculating and collecting fees, awarding financial aid and assessing students' academic progress. Users include students, faculty, and academic staff.

  Peoplesoft – HR

PeopleSoft HR maintains employment related data and includes employee/manager Self Service features such as paycheck view history, leave balances, absence and time reporting. Users include staff, managers, faculty, and student workers.

Cal Maritime is operating PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management) version 9.0.  This is the administrative software that students use to register, view their class schedule, and update their addresses, and that faculty use to file their grades. 

PeopleSoft undergoes maintenance every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM PST

How to Log on

Logon to the portal and click on the Quick Launch icon to access Cal Maritime's Online Services (without having to logon again).  You may also access them by using the text boxes below.

User ID and Password
Login using your Cal Maritime Network user ID and password.

Computer Requirements

iPhones and iPads should not be used to access PeopleSoft until after the upgrade to version 9.0



Self-Service Functions
The following are some of the self-service functions available to students:

  • Enroll in classes

  • View unofficial transcripts

  • View advisement report

  • Change your address and phone

  • View holds

  • Search and view course catalog

  • View personal class schedule

  • View grades

  • View account balance in summary by term and by due date

  • View your financial aid by award year

  • Pay your fees online

  • View searchable schedule of classes

Continuing Students!
Continuing students are required to obtain their advisor's approval prior to enrolling in classes, otherwise a registration hold will be placed on the student. Maximum unit load for each semester is 20 units (15 if on academic probation). Approved overload form is required for additional units.

New Self-Service Functions for Faculty and Staff: 
The following are just some of the self-service functions available to staff and faculty:

  • View your addresses

  • View and update your phone numbers

  • View and update your email addresses

  • View and update your emergency
