Mission
Dedicated to providing a safe learning environment in support of the campus community and our guest. We accomplish this through providing educational and safety programs, collaborating with community members, and enforcing laws and campus regulations. Reporting Crimes or Requests for Assistance
When you call Police Services or Vallejo Police, please provide the following information:
- Your name
- The location of the incident you are reporting
- A description of the scene and suspects
- A description of any vehicles involved in the incident, especially a license plate number
When calls or reports are made to Police Services, a police officer or community service specialist will respond. The focus of the initial response will be the safety of all persons involved in the incident. The officer(s) will investigate each report and provide follow-up work as necessary to bring each incident to a final disposition. If outside assistance is needed (i.e., Vallejo Police, Fire, ambulance, etc.,) the call will be placed by police dispatch.

Confidential Reporting Procedures
California Maritime Academy and the Police Services Department accepts reports of criminal activity in confidence. Confidential reports of criminal activity can be reported to Police Services or any official with significant responsibility for student and campus activities. This particularly applies to crimes of sexual violence and allows the victim to report through a third party and/or remain anonymous. Medical personnel and counselors are encouraged to inform victims to report crimes on a voluntary and confidential basis. Counselors do not disclose information to Police Services without authorization from the victim.
Annually, Police Services sends a request to campus security officials with significant responsibility for student and campus activities asking them if they have any knowledge of crimes that may have occurred but have not yet been reported. It is our goal to provide assistance wherever the report is made and to ensure that we include the appropriate crime information in our annual security report.
