2. Start Building Your Course
Each semester empty course shells will be populated with student enrollments from PeopleSoft. Once these course shells are available, instructors can start uploading content and configuring their courses. You can refer to the Instructor Overview Video or you can get started below
Creating New Courses in Empty Course Shells:
If you are new to Moodle and want to create a new class start or need a quick orientation or review on basic Moodle functionality start here by downloading the Instructor Quick Start Guide. You will learn how to:
1. Create your course layout and structure
2. Upload your documents and content such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoints and Adobe PDF files.
3. Display your content and Link to hosted Videos and Websites

Copying and Restoring from Existing Courses into Empty Shells:
If you want to copy content from an existing course presently on a Moodle server or if you have a previously backed up Moodle course on your computer and you want to restore it, you start here....
Tip: If you are backing up in order to keep a copy for your records you may want to include all users and user files. If you do not want to backup your roster of students, be sure to select None in the Users pull-down menu.
2. Upload and Restore a Course
Tip: In this case Choose NOT to import user data since you need only the course CONTENT not the users.
