Scholarships
Scholarships are forms of aid that help students pay for their education. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not have to be repaid.
Cal Maritime receives annual scholarship funds from individuals, corporations, foundations, and professional associations. The California Maritime Academy Foundation manages a number of scholarship endowments, many of them named in memory of distinguished individuals associated with The California Maritime Academy. Students are invited to apply annually. Recipients are slected based on their demonstrated leadership skills, merit, and financial need.

Osher Foundation Scholarship
The Bernard Osher Foundation, headquartered in San Francisco, was founded in 1977 by Bernard Osher, a respected businessman and community leader. The Foundation seeks to improve quality of life through support for higher education and the arts. The Foundation provides post-secondary scholarship funding to colleges and universities across the nation. More
Student Secured Scholarships are scholarships that students bring with them when they come to Cal Maritime. Generally, these scholarships are given to students with special qualifications, such as academic, athletic or artistic talent. Awards are also available for students who are interested in particular fields of study, who are members of underrepresented groups, who live in certain areas of the country or who demonstrate financial need.
