Web Content Display
Web Development
Cal Maritime embraces web-based technologies to deliver online services to both external audiences as well as the campus community. Naturally, the University's web presence continues to evolve. In February, 2011, it become hosted in CampusEAI Consortium's cloud services. The entire public-facing website is now delivered by the portal itself and the portal's content mangement system is used to build and maintain the site. For the story behind this fascinating project, see the CIO's blog article.
The CIO and the Coordinator of Instructional and Academic Web Development, with advice from the Web Committee, are now leading the efforts to oversee the continued development of the new website. Those interested in viewing past iterations of Cal Maritime's web presence are encouraged to visit the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
