2020-2021 Important Housing & Residential Life Dates 

Please note when forms are due, when the residence halls close, and when the last meals in the dining center are.

 

Fall 2020 Semester

  • August 13th: New Student Orientation (NSO) and Residential Student Move-in Day
  • August 16th: Continuing Student Move-in Day
  • August 17th:  First day of classes
  • September 7th: University Closed - Labor Day
  • October 1st: 2021-2022 FAFSA available
  • November 11th:  University Closed for Veteran's Day
  • November 26th-27th: University closed for Thanksgiving (Dining Center closed)
  • December 8th-10th: Virtual Finals 
  • December 10th: Dinner is last meal in the Dining Center for the semester
  • December 11th at 10am: Residence Halls close for Winter Break  

Please note – face-to-face courses conclude before Thanksgiving Break, but virtual courses & finals will still occur after Thanksgiving Break. The Residence Halls will remain open until the conclusion of Fall Semester.

 

Spring 2021 Semester

  • January 4th at 10am: Residence Halls reopen for first year students from 10am-6pm
  • January 4that 10am: Residence Halls reopen for all students from 10am-6pm
  • January 7th:  First day of classes
  • January 18th: University closed - MLK Jr. Day (Dining Center open)
  • February: HLAs and Off-Campus Petitions for the 2021-2022 academic year will become available
  • March 2nd: Priority deadline to complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA
  • March 8th-12th: Spring Break
  • March 31st: University closed for Cesar Chavez Day (Dining Center Open)
  • April 10th: Late Stay Requests for any student to stay past 10am on April 30th
  • April 26th-29th: Final Exams
  • April 30th: Residence Halls close at 10am for all students (unless a Late Stay Request has been approved) 
  • May 1st: Commencement
  • May 2nd: Residence Halls close at 10am for all students with approved Late Stay Request Forms
