Follow These Steps to Choose Cal Maritime and Save your Space for Fall 2020 


COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Impact on Deadlines and the Process of Saving Your Space at Cal Maritime After Being Admitted (updated 5-4-2020)

We know things seem uncertain right now with everyone sheltering at home and traditional schooling being disrupted.  We want you to trust that we will be extremely flexible with all the items connected with saving your space here and preparing to join Cal Maritime.

  • (New) The deposit deadline has been extended to June 1st for all majors except Marine Transportation. This has been done to provide you with additional time to evaluate Cal Maritime and consider the evolving impacts of COVID-19 and to align with the extended deadlines of several other CSU campuses. 

  • If your family is having financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we can even waive the required deposit, just email us at admission@csum.edu or call 707-654-1330 to ask.
  • For all the other items listed with a May 1st deadline such as the health forms and uniform measurements, we have changed the May 1st deadline on these other items to "send it to us when you can over the summer." You do not need to specially request these deadline extensions.
  • Passing a pass/fail spring 2020 semester course will count as satisfying a required A-G course (high school students) or required college course (transfer students). Delayed transcripts will not affect your ability to enroll for Fall 2020. Click here to read other COVID-19 adapted academic policies that represent our flexibility in this situation.
