Get ready for Room Selection for the 2013-2014 academic year!

Returning students at the California Maritime Academy have the opportunity to select a specific room/building for the following academic year based on: class standing, GPA, number of credits completed, and discipline history. Please read below for important dates, deadlines, and information for selecting a room for the 2013-2014 academic year.

All room selection forms are available for download and completion at the bottom of this page. All forms are due to the Office of Housing and Residential Life by          April 2nd, 2013 at 4:00 pm. All room selection nights will be held at the Office of Housing & Residential Life, located in the lobby of Upper Residence Hall. A student must arrive at his/her appointment time with a completed Housing & License Agreement and his/her Portpass (as proof of identification). Upon arrival at the Housing Office a student will check in with the staff member working the office and be directed to a pro-staff member to select from the available rooms on campus. All students are given individual appointments and will not be granted entrance to the room selection process until their scheduled time. This is no reason to stand in line or show up prior to the appointment time as it will not help you select any earlier. Any student that cannot attend his/her appointment time should continue down this page and read the Proxy procedure.

Room Selection Dates & Deadlines:

April 2nd, 2013 at 4:00pm: Off Campus Petition Packets Due

April 2nd, 2013 at 4:00pm: Single Room Applications Due

April 2nd, 2013 at 4:00pm: Quiet Housing Applications Due

April 2nd, 2013: Notification of appointment date/time sent to students' CMA e-mail

April 15th, 2013: Quiet, Singles, & Current Senior selection night

April 16th, 2013: Current Junior selection night

April 17th, 2013: Current Sophomore selection night

April 18th, 2013: Current Freshmen selection night 

Proxy Process: 

If a student cannot attend his/her scheduled appointment he/she may complete a Proxy form and send another Cal Maritime student to select a room for the absent student. To be permitted to proxy the student attending the room selection must have a completed proxy form, his/her Portpass, and a completed Housing & License Agreement for the student absent.
