Visit Campus

The California Maritime Academy campus in the foreground with the San Francisco Bay and Training Ship Golden Bear at the dock in the backgroundCampus tours for individuals or families are available each weekday morning and afternoon all year and one Saturday morning per month from September through the end of April.
We welcome visits during the entire year. Like most colleges, we have a number of days where students are gone or where the campus is closed.  To see which days are non-class days or school holidays, look at the right-hand column of this page.  On non-class days, tours may be led by an admission counselor rather than a student.
Nothing replaces the benefit and insight from a campus visit. Visitors can see the way our wooded campus flows from hillside residence halls to waterside academic buildings. There's no other campus setting like it!
The daily student-led campus tours or annual open house event called Preview Day will expose you to the focused education and professional preparation our uniformed cadets receive. You will also see unique facilities such as our engineering simulators, the Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR, and cozy library with the only ocean view in the CSU.
